DeRail Games is the creator of “Shadow of the Game” an experimental 2D adventure inspired by the old school adventure games from the 90’s developed for online distribution. Where it will be published and when is not decided yet, DeRail Games is looking for a publishing partner for Shadow of the Game.
The development of Shadow of the Game started in 2010 and is close to being completed, it will be published in 2012.

Something like a game
What a raid! Development of the Shadow of the Game has been such a long and strange trip. In fact, it should be obvious that we were tripping all the time.. We have been squeezing creative juices out of every crack and crevice to be found in our gamer bodies, and the result is this product. To be honest, we don’t know if we are right to call it a game, cartoon or interactive movie, and we are excited to see who will make up our audience. However, we aimed this piece of multimedia at gamers with a relationship to the MMO-genre.
This game is not for children though. We were not in any restraints when making this game and it is a result of a process relying a lot on free associations. Many of the characters are bizarre and twisted, meaning they often represent moral views like you would find in the real world; twisted and disturbed with bad habits. In our opinion, that is what makes them interesting to explore though, and we promise that they will take you on a wild ride and a colorful journey.
To set the mood, Kevin MacLeod and Alexander Bjork has made some eighty awesome scores, and we cannot thank them enough. In fact, the music itself has been an essential inspiration, and we honestly feel that this game could not have been without the contribution of these up and coming composers. Furthermore we found inspiration from some of the great artists and entertainment of our time. The game is ridiculous like the WWE, its sick like David Lynch and it is a long strange trip like World of Warcraft.
